Vankshita Mishra is a filmmaker, writer & curator based in L.A. and London.
After completing a bachelor’s degree in Natural Sciences (Physics & Chemistry) at Durham University, she worked freelance in film, at Hypatia Publications, as well as briefly with Greenpeace UK. She was a member of the 2021-2022 Other Cinemas Film School.
In 2022, Vankshita was selected for a Fulbright and BAFTA Scholarship to pursue an MFA in Film Production at the University of Southern California. While pursuing her Masters, she received the 2024 Alfred P. Sloan Foundation Writing Award.
As a curator, Vankshita organised and hosted a poetry and dance performance at the National Poetry Library, Southbank Centre. She founded the KUJA Collective, a multi-disciplinary arts and academic collective who have bi-annual exhibitions in L.A and London, and a forthcoming inaugural magazine issue in 2025.
