The showing is devised by a collective of young emerging actors and theatre-makers.

WORKSHOP:

BREADSHOP is a theatre project for young people (age 18-25), exploring a highly topical yet little-known play by Brecht which captured the effects of the Great Depression on the streets of Berlin in the winter of 1930.

A workshop was organised by Phoebe von Held during the lockdown in preparation for a live performance once the restrictions eased. Find out more here.

Vankshita played Mrs Queck in the workshop and will do so in the forthcoming performances too.
